BAKERY & KITCHEN UPGRADE
Kitchen Upgrade
Our current setup is no longer sufficient to meet the increasing demand. We urgently need to renovate and upgrade our kitchen to ensure we can continue providing nutritious meals to all our children. This includes adding essential equipment such as freezers, ovens, and other kitchen necessities.
During our evaluations, we discovered that we spend nearly $400 each month on bakery-related food. To address this, and as part of our kitchen renovation, our team proposed a solution that will save costs in the long run and provide training opportunities for the children and chance to generate income through the sales of the extra capacity from the bakery. Our goal is not only to give them the fish but teach them how to fish. This dream already has a name: The Bread of Life Bakery in Cambodia!
Bread of Life Bakery
One of the contributors of Hope Foundation is a Brazilian certified baker (Cristina Moura – refer to the picture below). She is supporting this vision with training and certifying the children who will be participating in this initiative. She has experience in starting a bakery from the ground up and successfully ran the bakery in Brazil for 3 years. She will be the project consultant who will oversee the planning and execution of the bakery, contributing by specifying the equipment and the infrastructure needed and making sure the children will have the proper equipment and knowhow to run the bakery.
In addition to Cristina Moura and other contributors, Fernando Bebber will also be joining us as a consultant. With a successful track record of starting up over 20 bakeries in Brazil and his own acclaimed bakery Pão & Coração, Fernando brings a wealth of experience as a bakery consultant. His guidance will be instrumental in helping us create exceptional bakery products in Cambodia. Look at some of the impressive baked goods from Fernando and his team in Brazil:

To make our kitchen renovation and the Bread of Life Bakery a reality, we need the following equipment and tools to make it happen. Our goal is to raise a total of $70,000 for the entire Kitchen Upgrade and Bakery. If you feel led by this new project that God brought to our hearts, please consider contributing with one of the below items.

EQUIPMENT DONATION
Our supporters Christina and Fernando had helped us to identify the list of equipment that will help us to build our bakery and upgrade our kitchen. The equipment list include but is not limited to: Bakery Ovens, Semi-Automatic Diveder Rounder, Fermentation chamber, Mixer, Dough Sheeter, Tabletop Bread slicer, HVAC system, Commercial Freezer, etc. To see the full list and donate for each equipment, click the button below.

There are still other miscellaneous items such as: aluminum trays, bread molds, knives, scrapers, baker’s rolling pin, tables, isolation transformers, and equipment startup services.
